- Disclosures of your personal data
- We may share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes set out in the table under How we use your personal data
- Internal Third Parties means other companies in the Cameron Hall Developments group of companies and who are based in the UK and provide system administration services.
- External Third Parties means:
- service providers acting as controllers or processors based inside and outside the UK who provide electronic ID checks, IT, system administration, client relationship management and property management services including, but not limited to, Safeguard (snagging and subcontractor management) National House-Building Council (NHBC) and Premier Guarantee (amongst other warranty providers), management companies, Mailchimp, HouseBuilder Pro CRM and Aspire;
- professional advisers acting as controllers including financial advisors, lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers based in UK who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services;
- HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities acting as controllers based in the UK who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances; and
- third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.
- Data security
- We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We have also put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
- We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK.
- Data retention
- We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. Typically, we retain personal data for a specific amount of time for the following purposes:
- if you enquire about a property of ours or you visit one of our developments but choose to not purchase a property, we will retain your personal data for the length of the development plus 2 years;
- if you reserve a property at one of our developments and proceed to purchase it, we will retain your personal data for a period of 10 years after legal completion of that purchase in line with our warranty periods;
- if you purchase a property from us and identify snagging through our CRM system, for two years from legal completion; and/or
- if consent is the lawful basis we’ve relied upon to process your personal data, once you withdraw your consent.
- We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
- We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. Typically, we retain personal data for a specific amount of time for the following purposes:
